The Science

Nanotechnology is the science and technology of materials at the nanometer scale. It refers to the emerging set of tools, techniques and unique applications involving the structure and composition of materials at the near atomic, or nanometer level. A nanometer (nm) is a unit of length equivalent to a billionth of a meter, or a millionth of a millimeter.  For example, an average human hair is 80,000 nanometers in width.  Designing and creating materials at the nano-scale, such as a nano-capsule, leads to products that achieve exceptional performance.  A nano-capsule is any nano-particle that consists of a shell and a space, in which desired ingredients may be placed and delivered to the skin cells.

As part of continuing efforts to introduce the most advanced beauty products, Mediderm Laboratories is pleased to announce the launch of Nanodermix nanoanti-age Cream and nSkin 5 Second Wrinkle Eraser both were developed by our scientific team that lead us to be on top of the cutting edge of nano-cosmeceuticals industry.  “This is very exciting news to our industry,” exclaims Lina Twaian,(the CEO of Mediderm Laboratories and a retired physician with a vast experience in formulating cutting edge dermatological formulations for fortune 100 companies), “All of my extensive knowledge and experience of the past 14 years in the skin care industry as led up to this moment.  We have been working overtime on this project for the last 36 months and have finally come up with the most advanced skin care product that has ever been created.  Our patent pending technologies are extremely hard to duplicate.  The impact of NanoActives, which use SlowRelease nano-technology for controlled delivery, is groundbreaking.  We’ve created a range of products with advanced SlowRelease nano-technologies & nanoinject and continue making long-term investments in their future.  Mediderm Laboratories is changing the nature of things – one nano-particle at a time.”

To ensure effectiveness of NanoActive ingredients, the transport of these components to the “place of action“ is a crucial challenge.

The stratum corneum, the outermost skin layer is known for its impermeability due to the chemical and physical barrier function. Only molecules smaller than 500 nm could penetrate the skin, depending on their chemical structure. Therefore traditional cosmetics formulators try to use permeation enhancers in their formulations to increase the dermal transport of active ingredients. These enhancers act in disturbing the barrier by partly solubilizing or extracting the skin lipids.   Nanodermix nanoanti-age and nSkin 5 Second Wrinkle Eraser uses NanoActives to accomplish this feat.  The end result is a cream and a concentrate that are able to deliver the active ingredients to needed areas.

Liposomes are also used in traditional dermal applications as a protective carrier system for active ingredients too big to actually enter the skin, they tear the skin surface, carrying actives to the target site below the torn areas.  Liposomes have limited use in commercial products, due to limited retention, sensitive to surfactants, temperature changes, pH levels and mixing with other ingredients

Nanodermix nanoanti-age and nSkin 5 Second Wrinkle Eraser are different from the traditional delivery systems currently available in that it uses the SlowReleas nano-technologies to deliver the world’s best skincare products with proven effective ingredients directly to the portions of the skin that need it.
